Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Gretna Primary Nursery seeks an Early Years Support Assistant on a fixed-term basis until July 2027. The role is 22.5 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, with salary Band 5 (£15,577.73 – £16,541.10).

The post requires SCQF Level 6 in Social Services, Children & Young People and SSSC registration. You will work with a dedicated team to support children aged 2-5, contribute to curriculum development, and engage with families while following school policies and

• Experience working with children in early years or childcare settings.
• Ability to work collegially with school staff, agencies and parents.
• Commitment to safeguarding and PVG compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Support learning and development in the nursery and assist with curriculum delivery.
• Collaborate with staff to plan activities and assess pupil progress.
• Engage with parents and carers to support children's needs and development.
• Ensure PVG scheme compliance and SSSC registration within the required timeframe.
