Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is recruiting an Early Years Assistant for Greendykes Early Years Centre on a fixed-term contract to 30 September 2027. The role is 36 hours per week across 52 weeks, with salary £26,806–£27,032.

You will work as part of a collaborative early years team, supporting children's learning, welfare and inclusion while completing light clerical duties and preparing the environment to support curriculum delivery.

Qualifications

• No formal qualification is required; a good basic education, literacy and numeracy are expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting the educational, care and welfare needs of all children.
• Provide support in day-to-day operations of the Early Years Centre as directed by senior staff.
• Carry out general clerical duties to support children's learning as required.
