Job summary

GSL Education Leicester is seeking caring Early Years Support Assistants to work across nurseries, pre-schools and primary schools throughout Leicestershire. Immediate and January starts available, with roles across Leicestershire and the option of full-time or part-time schedules.

You will support children aged 2-5 through play-based learning, helping them develop foundational skills while fostering safety, inclusion, and wellbeing in diverse settings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in nursery, pre-school, school, childcare, or similar setting.
• Caring, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor.
• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Pay Rate: £90.50 - £99.84per day (including rolled-up holiday pay)

About the Role

As an Early Years Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children aged 2-5 years as they learn, explore, and develop essential skills.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting children's learning through play-based activities
• Assisting with the delivery of engaging Early Years learning experiences
• Supporting children's social, emotional, and communication development
• Working with individuals and small groups to encourage participation and progress
• Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
• Assisting with classroom and activity preparation

Relevant qualifications in Childcare, Early Years, Health and Social Care, or Education are desirable but not essential.
