Job summary

Powys County Council is recruiting a Pre-School Setting Assistant for Knighton C in W Primary School in Powys, UK. The role offers a salary from £25,583 to £25,989 per annum pro rata, or £13.26–£13.47 per hour, with a discretionary living wage supplement for lower-paid staff.

The post supports planning and delivery of the Foundation Phase curriculum, pupil care, and a safe, welcoming environment for children and carers. DBS check is required and the appointment may be on a part-time basis.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS Check is required.
• Discretionary real living wage supplement applies to those earning under £13.45 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assists setting leader in planning, reviewing and delivering play-based experiences and the Foundation Phase curriculum; supports pupil care, health, safety, welfare, emotion and behaviour.
• Contributes to a warm, welcoming environment where children and carers feel valued and supported.
• Receives direction from the Setting Leader or other senior staff.
• This position requires an Enhanced DBS Check.
