Company Description

Over The Rainbow Day Nursery, established in early 2015, has been providing quality childcare to the local area ever since. Previously, we operated as registered childminders for many years. We offer a balance between the larger corporate day nurseries and the smaller capacities of childminders, all while providing a safe and secure home-from-home environment for all children in our care.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Romford for an Early Years SENDCo - SEN Practitioner. The primary responsibilities include supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities, collaborating with staff to develop and implement individualised care plans, observing and assessing children’s development, and working closely with parents and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the children. The role also includes maintaining detailed records, staying informed about the latest developments in early years SEND practices, and providing training and guidance to nursery staff.

Qualifications

• Strong Interpersonal Skills and ability to work effectively with children
• Comprehensive understanding of Early Childhood Development
• High levels of Creativity skills
• Effective Organisation Skills
• Relevant experience in working with children with special educational needs
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A relevant qualification in early years education or child development is highly beneficial
• Knowledge of the latest SEND practices and policies is an advantage
