Job summary

VN Appointments is seeking an Early Years specialist for a part-time role (3 days per week). The position involves taking overall operational responsibility for child protection, safeguarding welfare, and SEND coordination in an inclusive early years setting.

The ideal candidate holds Level 3 Early Years and SENCO qualifications, plus Full Level 3 DSL training, and has at least 2 years' experience managing child protection cases within EYFS environments.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification and SENCO qualification.
• Full Level 3 Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training.
• Minimum 2 years experience in early years with child protection & SEND coordination.

Responsibilities

• Hold overall operational responsibility for child protection and safeguarding.
• Coordinate SEND provision to enable progress in an inclusive, safe EY environment.

Are you seeking a part time role (3 days per week) ?

This is a very rewarding role, involving playing a dual role within the setting, holding overall operational responsibility for child protection, safeguarding welfare, and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Ensuring all children are protected, supported and enabled to make the best progress in an inclusive, safe early years environment.

• All you need is at least Level 3 Early Years Qualification, Early Years SENCO Qualification; Full Level 3 DSL Training.


• At least 2 years experience in an early years setting with direct experience managing child protection cases and coordinating SEND provision.


• In depth practical working knowledge of the EYFS, SEND Code of Practice, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and local multi-agency threshold guidelines
