Job summary

Enrich Education Recruitment is working with a welcoming 1-form-entry primary school in North Finchley to recruit an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support children in Nursery and Reception. We are seeking an engaging practitioner with a real interest in both Early Years and SEN, particularly assisting children with autism, communication challenges and emerging speech and language needs.

Qualifications

• EYFS, Nursery or SEN experience required.
• Experience with ASD, PECS, Makaton, visual communication or speech and language interventions is valuable.
• Warm, patient and engaging approach with children who need consistency and structure.

Responsibilities

• Support children with ASD and communication needs
• Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support
• Use visual timetables and now-and-next strategies
• Encourage speech, communication and interaction
• Support learning through structured play
• Help children manage transitions and routines
• Support early phonics, language and number
• Develop confidence, social skills and independence
