Job summary

Cognita Schools in Bromley is seeking an experienced Early Years Room Leader to join Breaside Preparatory School. You will work with the Head of Early Years to support high-quality, safe learning environments and effective planning, assessment, and daily classroom leadership.

This permanent, full-time role starts in September 2026. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, solid EYFS knowledge, and excellent communication to build strong relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• An NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Experience working with young children and meeting individual needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm, flexible approach in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Early Years classroom and support delivery of high-quality education.
• Plan, assess and provide daily classroom leadership alongside the Head of Early Years.
• Build strong relationships with families and ensure children's wellbeing.
• Support children's development and learning through engaging activities.
