Job summary

Inspired Education Group is seeking committed Early Years Practitioners for its Early Learning School in Berkshire. You will care for children aged 3 months to 4 years, deliver play-based activities and support EYFS assessment. Training through our apprenticeship levy scheme is available.

We offer roles with 4 days (42.5 h) or 5 days (38 h) per week all year round, with salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Start date Sept 2026 / Jan 2027.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 3 Early Years teaching qualification.
• Experience with children aged 3 months to 4 years.
• Understanding of EYFS framework and early childhood pedagogy.
• Excellent communication with children, parents and colleagues.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Be a highly motivated Early Years practitioner role modelling excellent practice to children.
• Stay abreast of current Early Years initiatives and legislation informing practice.
• Maintain high expectations of children and support their learning.
• Assess development and share progress with parents and professionals.
• Plan age-appropriate programmes using the EYFS framework and indoor/outdoor environments.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Reddam House Berkshire is a flagship UK school of the successful Reddam House International group. Set in 125 acres of wood and parkland, housed in a magnificent mansion building.

Throughout the school our emphasis is on independence; we expect our students to work hard in the belief that success is in his or her own hands. From babies in our Early Learning School through to our Sixth Formers moving on to University, students are active participants in setting the direction of their educational journey, developing a love of learning and being empowered with the self-discipline that provides the bedrock for success.

We have 800+ students between the ages of 3 months and 18 years are registered here (day students and boarders from age 11+). Children are recognised as individuals with unique skills to celebrate and given tailored support and guidance at each stage of their school career. Our structure of Early Learning School, Junior School, Middle School and Senior School means that every year group works with professionals who specialize and enjoy working with the students in their care.

We currently have vacancies in our Early Learning School where we are seeking to appoint committed and dynamic Early Years Practitioners who will be working with children aged 3 months to 4 years providing care, play activities and supporting the EYFS assessment.

We currently have a number of vacancies to support with the growing number of students and would welcome applicants that would like to be considered for:

Lunch cover (qualified or unqualified) – 4 hours a day Mon to Fri all year round, salary up to £15,080 depending on experience and qualifications

Early Years Practitioners (qualified) – 4 days, 42.5 hours or 5 days – 38 hours per week all year round, salary between £28,652 up to £32,045 depending on experience and qualifications

We also have a qualified practitioner role which is part time – 2 days (0.4 FTE)

Start date - September 2026/January 2027

We can also support with training to obtain Early Years qualifications within the framework of our apprenticeship levy scheme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To be a highly motivated early years’ practitioner role modelling excellent practice to children as identified in the Early Years Inspection Handbook.
To stay abreast of current Early Years initiatives and legislation and ensure that this informs your practice.
To have consistently high expectations of what children can achieve and support their learning.
To have a secure understanding of child development of the age group they are working with and have relevant subject knowledge that is detailed and communicated to the children.
To gather assessment information looking at what children already know, understand, and can do and share this with parents or other professionals.
To use assessment information to plan appropriate teaching and learning strategies that identify able or talented children or children who are falling behind in their learning and need additional support, enabling children to make good progress.
To support children, understand how to develop as a result of regular interaction and encouragement from staff, and support parents understand how their children should progress and how they can contribute to this.
To develop strong working relationships with parents by providing information that helps them to understand how children can progress.
To write accurate reports and document on children’s developmental progress using the Early Years Outcomes document and other relevant documents.
To consult with colleagues to plan and implement stimulating and age-appropriate developmental programmes for young children using the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and the setting’s pedagogical approach by ensuring full use of the indoor and outdoor environments throughout the year.
To proactively promote an inclusive and welcoming environment for all families using the school.
To meet regularly with the leadership team for group supervisory sessions and relevant training
To be aware of the school’s confidentiality procedures.
To ensure equality of opportunity and recognition of diversity are promoted through effective teaching.
To have good ICT skills to effectively use Tapestry and other software systems that support the provision.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Recognised Early Years teaching qualification - Level 3
• Experience working with children aged 3 month to 4 years in an Early Learning School.
• Understanding of child development and early years pedagogy, including knowledge of EYFS, Reggio Emilia, or equivalent frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong classroom management, organisation, and planning skills with a focus on high-quality learning outcomes.
• A passionate, child-centred approach with the ability to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
• A reflective and adaptable mindset, committed to continuous improvement and professional growth.
