Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking an Early Years Practitioner for daily supply across Barking and the surrounding areas to support children's learning in a variety of nursery and early years settings.

You will follow the EYFS framework, contribute to planning and observations, maintain a safe, stimulating environment, and build positive relationships with children, staff and parents. A Level 3 EYFS qualification and an Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred) are required; pay is weekly via PAYE.

Qualifications

  • Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Recent experience in nursery or early years settings.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
  • Flexible, reliable, and confident working in new environments.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain one.

These flexible opportunities are ideal for Early Years Practitioners who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different nursery and early years settings in Barking and the surrounding areas.

Duties as Early Years Practitioner:
  • Support children's learning and development through play-based activities
  • Follow EYFS curriculum and contribute to planning and observations
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
  • Promote inclusive practice and support children with additional needs
  • Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times
Ideal Early Years Practitioner:
  • Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Has recent experience working in nursery or early years settings
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Is flexible, reliable, and confident working in new environments
  • Has a clear Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
