Chawton Preschool is seeking an experienced early years practitioner to join our team on a term-time basis. The role involves acting as a Key Person and supporting others when the key person is absent, with 8am to 3:30pm shifts four days per week.

A Level 2 EYFS qualification is required, and a DBS check and references are mandatory. The role includes planning activities, observing children, and recording progress while liaising with parents about daily activities and next steps in development.

Qualificações

• Level 2 Early Years qualifications are required.
• Experience as Key Person is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing engaging activities for preschool children.
• Support children's social, emotional and physical development through supervision and encouragement.
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment meeting health and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents and team members to foster a collaborative learning atmosphere.
• Help organise daily routines such as snack time, play, circle time and rest periods.
• Support children with personal care needs in a respectful manner.
• Contribute to classroom management with positive and consistent behaviour.
