Job summary

Bright Horizons Early Education & Preschool in Highbury, London, is seeking a part-time Early Years Practitioner for Highbury Day Nursery and Preschool. You will plan and deliver engaging activities aligned with EYFS milestones, fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment for young children.

The role offers a 7:15am–9:30am or 3pm–6pm shift pattern from Monday to Friday, with generous benefits including a 50% childcare discount and enhanced parental leave. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
• Strong understanding of the EYFS
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge
• Ability to develop trust and partnerships with colleagues and parents/carers

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each of your key children to support development towards milestones.

Salary – £14.98 per hour (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

Location – Highbury, London, N5 1FP

We have the 2 below shift patterns available from Monday to Friday: Breakfast cover – 7:15am to 9:30am or 3pm to 6pm*

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification

• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
