Job summary

TeacherActive is assisting a well-established private nursery in Old Trafford to recruit an Early Years Practitioner. The role offers up to 35 hours per week with a pay rate of £12.17–£16 per hour, paid PAYE.

You will join an enthusiastic team, supporting children's routines, learning and play in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate holds Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, has nursery experience, understands EYFS, and brings a passion for child development.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a nursery/childcare/EYFS setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS and children’s developmental needs.
• Nurturing, enthusiastic and proactive approach.
• Genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and emotional wellbeing.
• Confidence in providing engaging, age-appropriate learning and play opportunities.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well as part of an established nursery team.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s daily routines, learning and play while encouraging independence and communication skills.
• Work alongside an experienced Early Years team to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
