Job summary

Busy Bees Heworth in York is seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to help deliver high-quality early years education. You will support the Bee Curious curriculum and foster the social, emotional, and developmental growth of children aged under five.

The role involves creating a safe learning environment, planning engaging activities aligned with EYFS, and working closely with families. A Level 3 (or higher) Early Years qualification and prior experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
• Proven experience working with children under 5.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to apply EYFS knowledge to plan activities.

Responsibilities

• Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children's growth and learning.
• Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with the EYFS.
• Key Person Role: Oversee children's development, care needs, and build strong family connections.
