Job summary

Spring Nurseries by Action for Children is hiring an Early Years Practitioner (qualified level 3) in Gateshead to support children aged 0-5 in a nurturing nursery setting. You’ll contribute to high-quality care and learning, building trusting relationships with children and families, while following EYFS guidelines.

You will observe development, tailor activities to individual needs, and collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive, safe learning environment.

Qualifications

  • A Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualification (NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of children's development from 0-5 and EYFS framework.
  • Experience planning and delivering age-appropriate activities for young children.

Job title:Early Years Practitioner (qualified level 3)
Salary:c. £26,950 per annum
Location:Gateshead
Contract/Hours:Permanent/Full Time – 40 hours per week

As a qualified Level 3 early years practitioner who is passionate about helping young children to learn, develop and feel confident. You'll understand the needs of children aged 0-5, be confident working within the EYFS, and bring a caring inclusive approach to supporting every child.

  • A Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualification (NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent)
  • Knowledge and understanding of children's development from 0-5 years and how this informs your practice
  • Experience of planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that meet individual needs and developmental stages.
  • An understanding of the EYFS and how to support children's learning and development through play.
  • An awareness of SEND and how to provide inclusive support within an early year’s setting.
