Job summary

Highwoods Academy is seeking a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team in Mexborough. The role supports learning, development and welfare of children within our Early Years provision, helping create a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

You will work with colleagues, parents and carers to support children's development in line with EYFS, promoting inclusion and safeguarding throughout.

Qualifications

  • Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Experience working in an Early Years setting.
  • Sound understanding of child development and EYFS.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
  • Demonstrates high expectations for learning, development and wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to inclusion and safeguarding.

Hours: 30 hours (per week) / option for part time

Start Date: 1st November 2026 / as available

We are seeking

Highwoods Academy are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and highly motivated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and dedicated Early Years team. The successful candidate will support the learning, development and welfare of children within our Early Years provision, helping to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. You will work closely with colleagues, parents and carers to support children's development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing high-quality learning experiences for young children.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Has experience of working with children in an Early Years setting.
  • Has a sound understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
  • Can build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Demonstrates high expectations for children's learning, development and wellbeing.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
