GSL Education are delighted to be recruiting a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to support a thriving mainstream primary school in Winchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and motivated practitioner to join a committed team from either September or immediately.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be based in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), creating a secure and engaging learning environment that supports the individual needs of young children. Your support will be instrumental in developing their confidence, communication, and curiosity during these formative years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate, play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Provide nurturing support to children as they develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
  • Monitor progress and contribute to observations and learning journals.
  • Encourage positive interactions and independence in daily routines.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support holistic development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.

Job Requirements:

  • A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (essential).
  • Experience working with young children in a school or nursery setting.
  • A solid understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
  • A positive, child-centred approach with the ability to adapt to individual needs.
  • Have anupdated CV(covering thelast ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
