Job summary

CER in Sheffield is recruiting a Nursery Nurse / Early Years Practitioner to support learning and development in welcoming nursery settings. Opportunities include full-time, part-time, long-term, or permanent work, with a focus on child growth, wellbeing, and hands-on activity.

You will join a supportive early years environment and work to build strong relationships with children, their families, and colleagues while following safeguarding and nursery policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or early years setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting young children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework (desirable).
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning through play and engaging activities.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
• Encourage children’s social, emotional, and educational development.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.
