Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking an Early Years Practitioner for Stanwell Nursery School. This 36-hour week, 39-week year post offers a pro rata salary of £30,188–£34,452.

You will work within the Education Department to provide high-quality education and care for children and families, in a multi-disciplinary team, meeting individual needs and contributing to an inclusive, supportive environment. PVG checks are required.

Qualifications

• Provide education and care aligned with good practice in education and care for children and young people.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary or other team to promote a stimulating environment balancing education and care.
• Meet children’s individual needs and those of their families to enable everyone to achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide education and care aligned with policies and systems laid down by the Council and Education Department.
