Currie Primary School is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to provide engaging learning experiences for children. The role involves working in a nursery that promotes a play-based approach, fostering curiosity and global citizenship. The successful candidate will join a diverse team and must complete necessary background checks.

Salary: £28,046 - £32,010 (pro-rata for sessional)
Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks
Currie Primary Nursery is located in the South West of Edinburgh within Currie Primary School grounds. It has a designated site and can accommodate 64 children. The nursery features two large open-plan rooms and a spacious outdoor area used daily by children.
We adopt a Play-Based Learning approach, responding to pupil voice through responsive planning to enhance learning and teaching in line with A Curriculum for Excellence. Our goal is to provide high-quality, engaging learning experiences that foster a love of learning.

This role involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful candidate will need to join or update their PVG Scheme membership and may require an Overseas Criminal Record Check if applicable. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
