Job summary

eTeach UK Limited is seeking a dedicated childcare professional to support a centre for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. The role emphasizes a safe, stimulating environment and close collaboration with parents, carers and the wider college community.

The successful candidate will observe and plan for each child's needs, maintain learning journeys as a key person, and contribute to high-quality daily care in line with statutory requirements and OFSTED standards.

Responsibilities

• 2.1 Ensure the positive ethos of the Childcare Centre is fulfilled.
• 2.2 Assist the Childcare Centre Manager in providing high quality full day care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
• 2.3 Implement and review College policies and procedures.
• 2.4 Provide a positive, stimulating environment and atmosphere for children, parents/carers, staff and students.
• 2.5 Interact and communicate with children to support individual learning potential.
• 2.6 Plan, implement and evaluate activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage and OFSTED requirements.
• 2.7 Foster welcoming communication with parent/carers.
• 2.8 Observe, plan and evaluate for individual needs and maintain learning journeys as key person.
• 2.9 Participate in Parents/Carers evenings.
• 2.10 Ensure physical well-being including nappy changing, toilet training and delivery/collection from other settings.
• 2.11 Undertake simple daily domestic duties and maintain health and safety.
• 2.12 Supervise meal times and prepare simple snacks.
• 2.13 Administer first aid (if qualified) and prescribed medicines.
• 2.14 Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• 2.15 Promote equal opportunities and inclusive learning.
• 2.16 Attend and participate in team meetings.
• 2.17 Undertake continuous professional development.
• 2.18 Comply with College Policies on Finance, HR, Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities.
• 2.19 Undertake any other duties as required by management.
