Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is seeking Early Years Practitioners for temporary agency work in Winchester. Earn £15–£20 per hour with weekly pay and an onboarding bonus of £250. Flexible shifts from 1 day to 5 days per week, with various daily hours listed. Level 3 in Childcare is essential and DBS checks are expected.

Role focuses on delivering high-quality EYFS care, planning activities, and recording progress while supporting children, including those with SEND, in a busy nursery environment.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification (as defined by the Department for Education and EYFS requirements)
• Experience working in an early years setting
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• SEND awareness desirable

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework
• Plan and support age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining learning records (observations, next steps, learning journeys)
• Act as a Key Person, building strong relationships with children and families
• Support children to reach their full potential, including those with SEND, per the SEND Code of Practice

Early Years Practitioners required for Temporary Agency work in Winchester - Onboarding Bonus of £250- Level 3 in Childcare is essential

This is a perfect position if you are looking for Temporary Nursery work to fit around studies or other commitments. We are looking for candidates with a real passion for childcare and want to make a difference to a child's day.

Pick and choose between 1 day a week or 5 days a week. Working hours we require either 08:00-18:00, 08:00-17:00, or 08:30-17:30 Monday to Friday. This is an Agency position so there is alot of flexibility .

Hourly rates between £15.00- £20.00 (PAYE AND UMBRELLA RATES)

Duties of an Agency Years Practitioner

• Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
• Plan and support age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date learning records (e.g. observations, next steps, learning journeys).
• Act as a Key Person, building strong, secure relationships with assigned children and their families.
• Support children to reach their full potential, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), in line with the SEND Code of Practice.

Essential Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification (as defined by the Department for Education and meeting EYFS requirements)
• Essential Experience and Knowledge
• Experience working in an early years setting
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Awareness of inclusive practice and SEND Desirable
