Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is seeking Early Years Practitioners for temporary agency work in Weymouth. The role offers flexible days (1 to 5 days a week) with shifts from 08:00-18:00, 08:00-17:00, or 08:30-17:30, Monday to Friday, to fit around studies or commitments.

Hourly rates range from £15.50 to £20.00 (PAYE and umbrella rates) depending on experience and qualifications. Ideal for those with Level 2/3 EYFS qualifications and a passion for childcare.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification (EYFS compliant)
• Experience working in an early years setting
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Awareness of inclusive practice and SEND desirable

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
• Plan and support age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate learning records (observations, next steps, learning journeys).
• Act as a Key Person, building strong relationships with assigned children and families.
• Support children to reach their full potential, including those with SEND, in line with the SEND Code of Practice.

Early Years Practitioners required for Temporary Agency work in Weymouth.

This is a perfect position if you are looking for Temporary Nursery work to fit around studies or other commitments.We are looking for candidates with a real passion for childcare and want to make a difference to a child's day.

Pick and choose between 1 day a week or 5 days a week.Working hours we require either 08:00-18:00, 08:00-17:00, or 08:30-17:30 Monday to Friday.This is an Agency position so there is alot of flexibility .

Hourly rates between £15.50- £20.00 (PAYE AND UMBRELLA RATES)

Duties of an Agency Years Practitioner

• Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
• Plan and support age-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date learning records (e.g.observations, next steps, learning journeys).
• Act as a Key Person, building strong, secure relationships with assigned children and their families.
• Support children to reach their full potential, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), in line with the SEND Code of Practice.

Essential Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification (as defined by the Department for Education and meeting EYFS requirements)
• Essential Experience and Knowledge
• Experience working in an early years setting
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Awareness of inclusive practice and SEND Desirable
