Job summary

Bright Horizons Shoreham by Sea Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join our team in Shoreham-by-Sea. You will plan, implement and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each child, promoting development toward milestones in a safe, nurturing environment.

Applicants should hold a Level 3 (or higher) Early Years qualification, be passionate about inclusive learning, and have a solid EYFS and safeguarding knowledge.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding.
• Ability to develop trust with children, colleagues and parents.

Nursery: Bright Horizons Shoreham by Sea Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary: Starting from £28,072.60 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Shoreham-by-Sea Day Nursery & Preschool, situated in Buckingham Road, only a 10-minute walk from the station and on the same road as the local primary school. In addition, there’s an extra-large garden with a woodland area that is currently having a refurb, plus the 3-year old group get to visit the local care home once a week to enjoy activities together.

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
