We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our outstanding team. We are looking for a candidate to work part-time from 8:45am- 1:15pm on a term time basis (38 weeks per year). The working days will be confirmed during the interview process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the holistic development of children aged 0-5 years. Your enthusiastic attitude will be essential in managing daily activities and ensuring high-quality childcare practices.

*Responsibilities*

- Create and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of each child.

- Drive positive interactions with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and development.

- Foster a collaborative atmosphere among staff members, promoting teamwork and shared responsibilities.

- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment that meets health and safety standards.

- Observe and assess children's development, documenting milestones and identifying areas for improvement.

- Support children in developing essential life skills through play-based learning experiences.

*Qualifications*

- A recognised Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.

- Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is highly desirable.

- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.

- A genuine passion for Early Years education and commitment to supporting children's development.

- Ability to create an inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes equality among all children.

We are a pre-school situated in the grounds of Westerings Primary Academy school. We offer care and education for children aged 2-5 years. We are open term time only.
