Job summary

Freshlings Nursery is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support a safe, healthy and inclusive environment for children. You will observe and assess development, plan activities, and engage as a play partner to stimulate learning through exploration.

The role emphasises safeguarding under the Childcare Act 2018, DBS clearance, and partnership with families. Working on-site with no remote option is required, and sponsorship is not available for Skilled Worker visas.

Qualifications

• Observe, assess and plan for children to meet their individual needs within EYFS requirements.
• Provide a play partner approach to support development and learning.
• Act as Key Person with Learning Journeys in partnership with families.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess and plan for children to meet their individual needs, supporting their learning and development in the seven areas of the EYFS/current curriculum requirements, with a balance of child initiated and adult led activities.
• To be a play partner to children, engaging in sustained shared thinking.
• Undertakes the role of Key Person, producing Learning Journeys for individuals in partnership with parents, children, carers, and colleagues.

Under the direction of the Management Team and Team Leaders; you will provide routine activities to assist in the delivery of a customer focused cost effective and efficient support service.

You will:

This position is covered by the Disqualification under the Childcare Act 2018 Regulations
