Job summary

Limebrook Primary School and Nursery in Maldon is seeking an Early Years Practitioner (Level 3) to join our busy nursery team. You will help deliver engaging activities, support learning and wellbeing, and contribute to a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

The role requires knowledge of the EYFS framework, good communication and teamwork, and a commitment to safeguarding. We offer a supportive, collaborative staff team and opportunities for professional development.

Hours: 37 per week on a shift rota, 7.30am - 3.30pm. 8am- 4pm or 10am to 6pm 52 weeks per year

Salary: points 6-11

We are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioner (Level 3) to join our Nursery team.

The successful candidate will support the learning, development and wellbeing of children within the Early Years setting, helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where all pupils can thrive.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development and committed to supporting young learners at the start of their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging Early Years activities
  • Assist in promoting children\'s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
  • Observe, assess and record children\'s progress
  • Support children\'s social, emotional and physical development
  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers
  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are met at all times

  • Has experience working with young children (desirable)
  • Has knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Is caring, patient and nurturing
  • Has good communication and teamwork skills
  • Is organised, proactive and flexible
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
