Job summary

St Martin’s CE Primary Academy in Kingswood is expanding its nursery provision and seeks a warm, skilled Early Years Practitioner to help us grow and welcome more local families. You will join a dedicated Nursery team and work closely with the Early Years Lead to deliver high-quality provision for our first nursery cohort.

About this Role

Following our recent Ofsted inspection, where St Martin's was judged to be meeting the expected standard across all areas, we are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our dedicated Nursery team.

37.5 hours per week | 8am-4pm | Term Time Only | Start: 4th January 2027

St. Martin’s CE Primary Academy was proud to open its brand new nursery provision for 3 and 4 year-olds in September 2025 and we’re looking for a warm, skilled Early Years Practitioner to help us grow and offer increased capacity to the local community. It is our hope that we will be able to open our Nursery to 2 year old's this academic year.

Our school, part of the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust, has recently undergone rapid improvement and is thriving under a dynamic new leadership team. Under Executive Headteacher Ollie Martindale (also Head at nearby St. Peter’s CE Primary Academy), we are creating a culture of high expectations, kindness and inclusion from our oldest pupils to our very youngest learners.

About the Role

This is a term-time role for 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, which equates to 0.85FTE. The successful candidate will support high-quality provision for our first nursery cohort. You'll work closely with the Early Years Lead and our Reception team to:
