Job summary

Bright Horizons Family Solutions seeks a Lunch Cover Early Years Practitioner for Chilworth Day Nursery. The role is 20 hours per week, typically 11am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, based in Chilworth near Southampton. The nursery offers a Good Ofsted rating and a range of benefits for staff.

You will plan and deliver engaging activities, support development toward milestones, and maintain a safe learning environment fostering curiosity and resilience in children.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each of your key children to encourage their development.
• Create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.

Salary Level 2 – £27,009.60 - £27,823.80 per annum ( Pro Rata for part time) (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

Salary Level 3 – £28,072.20 - £33,020.50 per annum (Pro rata for part time) (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

Hours : 20 hours per week, 11am to 3pm monday to friday

We’re looking for an Lunch Cover Early Years Practitioner to join our Chilworth Day Nursery,

Our Chilworth nursery is a 64 place nursery, situated in the University Parkway Science Park in Southampton, close to local bus routes.The nursery has been awarded an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ for their commitment to high quality childcare and education (July 2019).

The Role
