Job summary

Sheffield City Council is seeking an organised Planning & Strategy Officer to support funded early learning delivery across the city. You will lead reviews of the Funded Early Learning Code of Practice, translate national guidance into local policy, and coordinate meetings to progress actions.

You will analyse enquiries and performance data, provide clear policy advice, and build strong relationships with providers and partners to drive service improvement for children and families.

Qualifications

• Experience in policy, strategy, service planning or quality assurance in a complex organisation.
• Ability to interpret legislation and guidance and turn complex information into practical advice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review, development and maintenance of the Funded Early Learning Code of Practice.
• Monitor national policy, legislation and guidance, translating changes into local policy and practice.
• Coordinate and service Notice of Concern meetings, preparing information and tracking actions.
