Job summary

Beancross Primary School, ELC Class, seeks an Early Years Officer to promote high quality play and learning for children in a supportive environment.

You will work as part of a team, building positive relationships with children and families, and contribute to the Edinburgh and Falkirk Council Education Service. The post is based at Beancross but may be required to work at other Falkirk ELC settings. This is a term-time permanent position with part-time hours.

Qualifications

• HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
• Registered with or seeking registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
• PVG scheme membership may be required.

Early Years Officer Beancross Primary School, ELC Class Post ID CS1586 An opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Officer to join the team at Beancross Primary School, ELC Class. You will have skills, knowledge and experience of all current Early Learning and Childcare provision and procedures and have a passion for promoting and delivering high quality play and learning both indoors and outdoors. You will work as an effective team member and establish positive relationships with children and families. You will have knowledge and experience of current early learning and childcare provision and procedures. With experience of working with children, you will have an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent. You must be registered with or currently seeking registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership. The post is full time (18.5 hours, working alternate Wednesdays and every Thursday and Friday on a term time basis) and is permanent within Falkirk Council Education Service. Although based at Beancross you may be asked to work at any ELC setting within Falkirk Council area. Please note the salary in the advert will be adjusted accordingly for part time and term time contract.
