Job summary

Aspire People are assisting a lovely Nursery School in Walsall to appoint a Nursery Teaching Assistant. The role is term time only, Monday to Friday, temp-to-perm.

You will supervise 2–4 year olds, support their learning and play, and work with a multi-disciplinary team to meet individual needs. DBS update is required, with references from your previous employer, and paediatric first aid training preferred.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or higher childcare/early years qualification
• DBS update service or willing to process a new one
• Paediatric First Aid or willing to undergo 2-day training
• Provide two references, one from most recent employer

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting children aged 2–4 years.
• Encouraging learning goals and child engagement.
• Plan and run learning and play activities aligned to EYFS.
• Observe and assess development under EYFS guidelines.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and carers for individual needs.
• Liaise with speech and language and inclusion support teams.
• Act as Key Person for a small group of children and families.
• Support health, safety and cleanliness in the nursery.
