Job summary

Guardian Jobs in Maidenhead is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to create engaging, age-appropriate activities and support learning and development in a welcoming nursery setting.

The role requires NVQ Level 2/3 childcare qualification and prior experience in an early years environment, with a focus on safeguarding and strong teamwork. You will work Monday to Friday in an all-year-round role and join a supportive team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification.
• Previous experience in an early years setting.
• Good knowledge of EYFSA good standard of English and numeracy.
• Ability to create a happy, safe and stimulating play environment.
• Strong communication with children, parents and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills.
• Positive, professional and dependable approach.
• Team player with safeguarding commitment.
• Comfortable using a tablet or EYFS software to record observations.

Responsibilities

• Creating fun, stimulating and age appropriate play and learning activities
• Supporting children’s learning and development through play
• Supervising children and ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
• Supporting children with meals, snacks, drinks and personal care when needed
• Observing children’s development and helping to maintain accurate progress records
• Preparing activities and creating an engaging nursery environment
• Building positive relationships with parents and carers
• Working closely with colleagues across the Nursery and Extended Day Care provision
• Contributing to staff meetings, planning and nursery activities
• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, hygiene and care
