Job summary

Charles Darwin Primary School and Nursery, part of Inspiration Trust in Norwich, is hiring a Nursery Assistant. Two posts are available: 24 hours per week or 35 hours per week, over 39 weeks a year. The role supports in keeping children safe, happy and stimulated while contributing to early learning.

Training and development opportunities are provided within a collaborative team. The successful candidate will have a Level 3 childcare qualification, nursery experience, and a commitment to EYFS

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 childcare qualification.
• Experience in a nursery or pre-school setting.
• Sound understanding of and ability to plan and implement the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• First aid certificate.
• Food hygiene certificate.
• Experience of working with children under 2.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to provide excellent quality childcare and early learning experiences for children and their families.
• Participate in and keep all evidence of planning, tracking and learning outcomes.
• Communicate sensitively and professionally with families and children at all times.
