Job summary

Junior Adventures Group (JAG) is seeking an Early Years Lead at Barnes Primary School in London. If you hold a Level 3 Qualification in Early Years, you’ll plan and deliver engaging activities, support wellbeing, and create a warm, safe environment for our youngest learners.

This part-time, term-time role offers a fixed schedule with potential extra hours during holidays, pay up to £14 per hour, and benefits such as Health Assured and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification is required.
• Part-time, term-time contract.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our youngest children.
• Plan, lead, and deliver fun, structured activities like storytelling, creative arts, sensory play, group games, and outdoor adventures.
• Support children’s development and wellbeing through engaging, age-appropriate experiences.
• Be a role model of safeguarding and follow Health & Safety policies at all times.
• Provide healthy snacks, support toileting and hygiene routines, and ensure every child feels safe, cared for, and included.
• Set up and tidy play spaces, adapting environments to meet activity needs.
• Build positive relationships with parents, schools, and your team.
• Promote early years best practice and nurture a love for learning through play.
