Brighton & Hove City Council is seeking an Early Years Individual Needs Teaching Assistant to join St Martins CE Primary School in Brighton. This part-time role (9:00–15:30) is for a fixed-term contract, paid on NJC Scale 4a, term-time only, with an attractive pro-rata salary of £28,153 – £28,608.

The successful candidate will have SEN experience and support our children in their learning within a caring, family-centered environment. Closing date 4 October 2026; DBS check required.

Qualifications

• SEN experience in early years preferred.
• Able to support pupils with individual needs in learning activities.
• Patient and energetic approach to working with children.

Responsibilities

Individual Needs Assistant - Early Years

Monday to Friday 9am to 3.30pm - Term Time only on a fixed term contract

We are seeking to appoint a lively, dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team in October 2026 as an Individual Needs Assistant with SEN experience.

St Martin's C of E Primary & Nursery School is one-form entry located in the popular Lewes Road area of Brighton and is an integral part of the local community.
