Job summary

AWD online is seeking an Early Years Inclusion Practitioner to support children aged 0–5 with emerging needs within a local Family Hub and community network. You will work to identify needs early, provide universal and targeted support, and collaborate with multi-agency partners.

You will build strong relationships with families, use evidence-based assessment tools, and champion inclusive practice across Family Hubs and Best Start networks. A traceable track record in EYFS is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children aged 0–5 with complex needs.
• Experience working with parents on joint assessment, review and teaching strategies.
• Good oral and written communication with a range of audiences.
• Ability to plan targets and review progress for individual children.
• NVQ3, NNEB or equivalent qualification in education or childcare.

Responsibilities

• Early Identification: identify emerging needs through observation and assessment.
• Targeted Intervention: provide universal/targeted support and monitor progress.
• Family Support: work with parents to implement practical strategies.
• Multi-Agency Collaboration: coordinate with health, SEND teams, and partners.
• Service Navigation: help families access services and resources.
• Training & Guidance: support best practice across early years inclusion.
• Record Keeping: maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
• Meetings: participate in multi-agency meetings and reviews.
• Service Development: contribute to service development and inclusion.
