Hampshire County Council in Basingstoke is seeking a Best Start Inclusion Practitioner to help young children with additional needs access the right support early. You will work across the Best Start Family Hub network, collaborating with health, education and SEND services to promote inclusive practice and improve developmental outcomes for children.

The role is permanent, 37 hours per week (part-time considered at 18.5 hours), with a salary of £34,273–£37,570 per annum and a benefits package

Competenze

• Level 3 qualification in early years, education, health, SEND, child development or a related field.
• Experience of working with children aged 0-5 with SEND and their families.
• Experience of multi-agency working across education, health and family services.
• Strong knowledge of early child development, early intervention, inclusive practice and SEND pathways.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work independently and use professional judgement.

Mansioni

• Provide direct support, advice and interventions to families with children aged 0-5 who have emerging or identified additional needs.
• Use observation and screening tools to identify needs early and help plan appropriate support.
• Coordinate support with health, education, SEND and community partners to improve outcomes.
• Promote inclusive practice across the Best Start Family Hub network and early years settings.
• Maintain records and monitor progress in line with safeguarding and information governance requirements.
