Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is recruiting a 0 to 5 Family Support Worker for a 12‑month term across Blaby, Oadby & Wigston. You will run Bumps Babies & Beyond groups, support Play & Learn sessions, and perform home visits to assist families with young children.

A DBS check is required and there is a commitment to safeguarding. The role requires a Level 3 qualification or strong relevant experience, plus multi‑agency collaboration and knowledge of child development.

Qualifications

• Experience of safeguarding and child protection in family support contexts.
• Ability to work in multi‑agency environments and coordinate with partners.
• Knowledge of Early Years development and family support interventions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Bumps Babies & Beyond groups and Best Start Play & Learn sessions.
• Carry out home-based support for families with young children.
• Work across Blaby, Oadby & Wigston as part of a 12‑month role.

Education
