Overview

Level 3 Early Years Practitioner – Term Time (Acton, W3)

Salary: £12.21 – £12.50 per hour • Hours: 32.5 hours per week, fixed shift 9am – 4pm • Contract: Term Time Only

VD Recruitment has partnered with a leading group of independent Montessori nurseries and preschools in West London. We are currently recruiting for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a small, 36-place nursery in Acton (rated Good by Ofsted).

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and engaging activities for children in a safe, stimulating environment.
  • Deliver the EYFS framework in line with nursery policies and guidelines.
  • Observe and record children’s progress, ensuring continuity and progression.
  • Support the key person system, maintaining up-to-date learning journeys/profiles.
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers, encouraging active involvement in their child’s learning.
  • Attend parents’ meetings and open days.
  • Ensure children’s safety, security, and wellbeing at all times, both indoors and on outings.
  • Contribute to nursery health and safety checks, risk assessments, and cleanliness standards.
Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare & Education
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Previous experience in a nursery setting
  • Paediatric First Aid certificate
  • Experience as a Key Person
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
