Job summary

First Steps Nursery, run by Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, seeks an Early Years Educator to assess, plan, deliver and review the care and learning of nursery children, with regular feedback to parents and carers. Shifts are daytime, Monday to Friday, within 08:00 to 18:00.

Applicants need a National Diploma in Early Years Childcare or equivalent; band 2 staff working towards band 3 may also be considered.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Early Years Childcare or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care and development of children at First Steps Nursery
• Provide feedback to parents and carers on children's progress
• Deliver both child-led and adult-led learning
• Act as a positive role model for all children
• Follow the Trust's Safeguarding Children Policy and Devon Safeguarding Children Board procedures
• Engage with specialist safeguarding services as and when necessary
