Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification required.

Job description

Pippa Pop-ins are looking for Qualified Level 2 and Level 3 practitioners to join the team at 5 Kensington Place.

Working Hours: 40 or 45 hours per week, term time only. (Part time also available, salary pro rated for part time)

Joining bonus payable upon completion of successful probation period - £1000 for qualified applicants.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level 2 Early Years Educator qualification (or other full and relevant Early Years qualification)
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
  • Knowledge of child development theories and practices
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Paediatric First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation governing childcare (e.g., Safeguarding)

Duties:

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5
  • Plan and implement EYFS-appropriate activities, ensuring they are stimulating and engaging
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Observe and assess children's development, identifying any areas of concern
  • Collaborate with parents and other staff members to support children's individual needs
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
  • Ensure the nursery is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children
