Job summary

Sancton Wood Nursery, part of Dukes Education Group, Cambridge, seeks an Early Years Educator to deliver high‑quality childcare under the EYFS framework. The role offers full-time, part-time or bank opportunities with a 7:30am–6:00pm pattern and flexible start/finish times.

Whether qualified or starting through the EBR route, you’ll join a supportive team in a nurturing setting, with Forest School activities, a safe outdoor space and a strong focus on child development.

Qualifications

• Level 3 (or equivalent) in EYFS or willing to study for the EBR qualification.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities aligned to EYFS.
• Promote learning, development and wellbeing through play.
• Observe and record progress in learning journals.
• Ensure a safe and stimulating environment.
• Build relationships with children, parents and carers.
• Support inclusion and equal opportunities.
• Assist with personal care routines as needed.
• Work as part of a team and contribute to a positive culture.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and carry out risk assessments.
