Job summary

Kido Barnes Nursery & Preschool in Barnes is hiring an Early Years Educator for a full-time, 40-hour week with a salary of £27,500–£30,000 per year. This international nursery group offers a vibrant culture and opportunities for career progression.

You'll create nurturing environments, act as a consistent key person, observe and plan learning, use varied teaching strategies, and ensure safeguarding and safety routines are followed. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification.
• Level 2 English qualifications included if Level 3 obtained after 2014.
• Sponsorship not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing environment — support a safe, engaging space for children to learn and thrive.
• Be a consistent key person — offer comfort, stability, and strong relationships for key children.
• Observe and plan learning — record observations and plan next steps for development.
• Use varied teaching strategies — adapt approaches to meet different learning styles and interests.
• Create enabling environments — set up spaces that spark curiosity and exploration.
• Support SEND needs — work with families and professionals to provide tailored support.
• Safeguard children effectively — follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns.
• Carry out safety checks — contribute to daily health and safety routines and risk assessments.
