Job summary

Realise is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our Broughton Cottage nursery on an apprenticeship track. You will support daily activities, ensure a safe, nurturing environment and work with lead educators to promote child development.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication with parents, and delivering high-quality early years education. Training to Level 3 EY Educator is provided as part of the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Level 2 maths and English GCSE or functional skills preferred, but training provided.
• Passion for working with young children and eagerness to progress.
• Open to apprenticeship pathway with on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children during playtime and support safety.
• Communicate with children to promote social and emotional development.
• Regularly speak with parents and share child development updates.
• Support daily routines including meals, naps and hygiene.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised nursery environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Support positive behavior in line with nursery policies.
• Lead initiatives to enhance learning through creative play.
• Write observations to track each child’s learning journey and next steps.
