Job summary

Little Scallywags Day Nursery in Birmingham is offering an Early Years Educator Apprenticeship. You will support teaching and care for children aged 9 months to 5 years, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm, at Bucklands End Road, Hodgehill.

You will work with experienced staff, complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship over 19 months with 20% off-the-job training, and gain a Paediatric First Aid qualification.

Qualifications

• GCSE English (Grade 4/C or above) essential
• GCSE Maths (Grade 4/C or above) essential
• Experience with young children is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for all children.
• Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing through quality teaching and play experiences.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development.
• Observe, monitor, and record children's progress and achievements.
• Maintain accurate records relating to children's development and welfare.
