Job summary

Goodtime Childcare in Redesdale, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom, is offering an Early Years Educator Apprentice position. You will learn on the job while working towards the Level 3 qualification, supporting children's learning through play and activities, and gaining practical childcare skills.

With full support from experienced practitioners, you will develop essential safeguarding knowledge and contribute to a friendly, inclusive team environment during a 12-month apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.
• Support personal care needs and daily routines as appropriate.
• Encourage independence, confidence and social skills.
• Observe development and contribute to records and assessments.
• Support learning through play and encourage curiosity and exploration.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and behaviour policies.
• Work with the nursery team to maintain a positive environment.
• Assist with keeping indoor and outdoor learning spaces clean and welcoming.
• Communicate with parents and professionals as directed by senior staff.
• Attend training and complete apprenticeship learning and assessments.
• Pursue own professional development and respond to feedback.
