Job summary

Spencer Nursery School, based at Spencer Road, CR4 4JP, is seeking an Early Years Educator to join our warm, ambitious federation. The role initially in the 0-2 years class, with potential to move between Ladybirds, Bumblebees, and Fireflies as needed.

You will be a key person for a named group, support daily routines, plan activities, contribute to learning stories, support inclusion and safeguarding, and participate in nursery life.

Qualifications

• Warm, effective communication with children, families and colleagues.
• Confident observation and assessment to plan inclusive activities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.
• Flexible, reliable team member in a busy nursery.
• Willing to undertake first aid and relevant professional development.
• Experience with birth to five in a registered setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and learning for children aged 0-5.
• Be a key person for a named group of children and record progress.
• Support daily routines, meals, personal care and safe play.
• Contribute to planning and delivering activities to promote development.
• Support inclusion and SEND targets under SENCo guidance.
• Participate in nursery operations, admin tasks and meetings.
