Job summary

Flow Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Deputy Nursery Manager for a network of bespoke nurseries in Ware. The role requires leading a room or team, implementing the EYFS framework, and upholding safeguarding standards.

You will liaise with parents, local authorities and regulatory bodies, support planning and records, and assist with management information and staff events. A professional attitude and nursery leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 equivalent in childcare and education is required.
• Experience managing a room or team within a nursery setting is essential.
• Knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures is important.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the EYFS, including overseeing planning and record keeping.
• Promote partnership with parents and carers and other family members.
• Develop professional working relationships with Local Authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies.
• Keep up to date with childcare and education policy changes and practices.
• Assist with nursery accounts and management information as per company procedures.
• Assist with staff and parent meetings and other events.

Senior Deputy Nursery Manager – Qualifications & Experience

• A childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3
• Previous experience of managing a room or team within a nursery setting
• A formal management qualification is desirable although not essential
• A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A thorough knowledge of safeguarding procedures

Senior Deputy Nursery Manager – Key Responsibilities

• To support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage, including overseeing planning and record keeping
• Promote and facilitate partnership with parents/carers and other family members
• Support with the development of and maintaining highly professional working relationships with relevant Local Authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies
• Remain abreast of current developments in childcare and education policies and practices
• Assist the Manager with maintaining accurate accounts for the nursery and produce management information in accordance with company procedures
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of regular staff, planning and parent meetings and other events.
