Job summary

Putnoe Primary School in the United Kingdom is seeking an Early Years Teacher for its four-year-old class on a full-time temporary contract for the spring and summer terms of 2027. The role focuses on play-based lessons within the EYFS framework and tracking progress through observation and assessment.

You will work with teaching assistants and families, starting in January 2027. A QTS or equivalent EY qualification and an enhanced DBS check are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised early years qualification.
• Proven experience in an EYFS setting.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, play-based lessons aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom that encourages curiosity, independence and social development.
• Monitor child development through observation and assessment, tailoring support to individual needs.
• Collaborate with early years teaching assistants, parents and carers to support each child's growth.
